Kasimir Augustynski
September 11, 1928 – December 25, 2025
It is with sadness that Kasimir’s family announce that he passed away in his 98th year on December 25, 2025 in Sylvan Lake, Alberta.
He was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Maria in 2001. He leaves to mourn his son Gerhard (Suzi) and daughter Karen, his grandchildren James (Erika) Augustynski, Amanda Augustynski, Carson Younghusband, Ian Younghusband, and his great grandson Harvey Augustynski.
Kasimir came to Canada from Germany in 1962. He and his young family settled in Montreal where he worked in the steel industry. In 2002, after his daughter became ill, he moved to Sylvan Lake to take care of her. They did everything together and were well known around the town.
Kasimir was an avid gardener and enjoyed building and renovating his properties. We will remember him for the stories of his life he would share with us with a sly twinkle in his eye.
A funeral service will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption on Friday December 9th at 11:00am.

Żegnamy bliskiego nam człowieka, który odważnie i z wielką fantazją szedł przez życie, niezwykle pracowitego i umiejącego walczyć z przeciwnościami losu, ciekawego świata. Ostatnie lata poświęcił z wielką wytrwałością opiece nad chorą córką ale nie stracił optymizmu, radości życia, niezwykłej pamięci i humoru.
