There will be a celebration of life held at the Bentley Community Hall (new) 4821 50 st. Bentley, Alberta.
Alicia Jolene McKendrick passed away, doing what she loved to do.
Alicia was born on February 16th, 1988, in Red Deer, Alberta, and spent her life growing up in and around rural Alberta. In October of 2015, worlds collided when Meggi met Alicia and Alicia met Meggi. Together they built McKendrick Stable and created a renowned equestrian business.
Alicia’s life was full, she was loved by many, and she touched many more with her kilowatt smile and sunny personality.
In loving memory of Alicia, there is an Alicia McKendrick Trust Fund, at the Bentley Servus Credit Union, for young riders of all walks of life, to be able to learn and enjoy the special connection between a horse and a child. In this way Alicia’s memory lives and rides on. It was Alicia’s dream to make it possible for any and every child to experience the special bond with a horse.
Cremation entrusted to Rocky Mountain Crematorium, Rocky Mountain House, Alberta.

Jennifer Necyk :
I am so very saddened to hear of Alicia's passing. Thinking of you Meggie and the rest of the crew at the barn. So very sorry.
Betty & Eldon Bezaire:
Our deepest sympathies to you family and friends. I (Betty) was very blessed getting to meet you, the loving, caring and happy person you were with the warm smile you always had. May you Rest in Peace.
Our deepest condolences to the Mckendrick family, Alicia’s barn family, her friends and the countless people she touched the hearts of in her short but full life. In every step she took in this life Alicia radiated passion, kindness and grace. She was an amazing role model for her students teaching them the beauty of connection through liberty, the value of commitment & hard work and the immeasurable value of being together & having fun. Alicia accomplished more in her 30 years than most do in a lifetime. I’m beyond grateful to have had Alicia in our lives, she will forever occupy a special place in our hearts. Rest easy beautiful soul, may your time in heaven be filled with “horsey fun” ~Shelly, Brooklynn& Jaylah
