Obituary

Ronald Emil Kult
September 10,1936 - June 9, 2026

Dad, thank you so much for the sacrifices you made and the unconditional
love you gave so freely. Your legacy of kindness and generosity will
live on inside of us and we are so proud to be your children.

With great sadness but gratitude for the long time we had with him the family of
Ronald "Ron" Kult announce his passing on June 9,2026 at the age of 89
years old.

Ron is survived by his partner Audrey Gavol, her sons and their
families, his sister Joan Bardenhagen and nephew Rod(Cristy). He is also
survived by his children Kevin(Ruth), Lori(Gray), Tanya(Perry)and Jason,
Cynthia and Taryn. Left to mourn their "Papa Ron" are his grandchildren
Micaila, Brogyn, Ronald "Jaeger"(Sharalee), Kieran, Beccah, Kathryn,
Lindsay(Steve) and Tanner(Jessica). He also leaves behind his great
grandchildren Haevn, Kinley, Talon, Dax, Nixon, Mila, Wyatt, Levi, Nala,
Oskar and Oliver.

He was predeceased by his parents Emil and Hilja and
his brother Frank.

Ron was born on September 10, 1936 in Sylvan Lake to Emil and Hilja Kult
the oldest of three children. His family settled in the Hespero area on
the family farm and Ron and his siblings Joan and Frank attended the
Shady Lane School, Ron later went on to graduate from Lindsay Thurber
High School where he took agriculture courses, according to his sister
Joan he told everyone from the time he was old enough to talk that he
was going to be a farmer and that is exactly what he accomplished.
Ron was a devoted humble family man who took pride in his farm and
delight in his grand and great grandchildren who affectionately called
him Papa Ron. He made them laugh with his words to describe things like
"strawbunnies", "roast beast" and the color "purpie" he always had time
for them and greeted them with the biggest smile and "how are you, how is
school?" . He was a great neighbour who was always willing to help out
without prompting, and when he saw someone was in need he was the first
one to offer assistance and that extended to anyone around him family,
friend or stranger, his children described him as generous to a fault.
Although not one to boast Ron once proudly told a story of how he helped
hold up power poles with his tractor while they were installing them in
his community.

Throughout his years Ron was a Director on the Eckville Co-op Board, as
well as the Diamond Valley Gas Co-op board, a Lion's Club and Legion
member, a part of the Farmer's Union and was a Hespero Hall Chairman as
well. He was an active part of guiding his children through years of 4-H
providing them with calves to train and was always available to help
when needed. He was an avid curler and to this day continued to enjoy
watching games, he also had a love for rodeo season.

Ron lived his life believing all people were good and he treated
everyone with kindness, patience and respect.

A viewing will be held on June 19, from 1pm to 4pm at the Sylvan Lake
Funeral Home.

A private graveside service will be held at the Hespero
cemetery on June 24 at 11am followed by a luncheon at the Hespero Hall
at 1pm where everyone is welcome to come together to remember him.

At this time the family of Ron Kult would like to extend their gratitude
for the care and kindness he received from all staff at the Eckville
Manor House, Eckville Home Care/ Palliative team and the staff at West
County Family Services. Ron was able to come home to the Manor where he
spent his last days in comfort and peace per his wishes, also thank you
to members of his family who visited, checked in, sat with him and
brought sunshine into his life
