John Albert Job
August 19, 1933 – September 5, 2025
The family of John Job sadly announces his passing on September 5, 2025, with his daughters at his side. He lost his devoted wife of 64 years on August 22, 2024.
John is survived by his daughters Janet Hall and Marena (Jim) Seifert; his five grandchildren, Chantel (Ryan) Nysten, David (Alexis) Comeau, Amanda Hall, Gordon Hall, and Michael (Lisa) Hall; and his five great grandchildren; Maxine and Vivienne Nysten, and Bennett, Paisley and Kennedy Hall. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Pat (Bob) White and Betty Job, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.
Born on the family farm near Burstall, Saskatchewan, John was the middle of three boys of Louie and Martha Job. His family later moved to Medicine Hat. In 1960, he married Joyce, and together they lived in Medicine Hat for a short time before settling on the farm in Coronation. In 1999, they moved to Red Deer, and in 2002, they relocated to Sylvan Lake, where John resided until his passing.
John cherished his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Always excited to see them and ask how they’re doing. He often spoke of his time on the farm and traveling to Arizona during the winters. He enjoyed watching rodeos and baseball, collecting belt buckles and clocks, and checking out garage sales. He was predeceased by his mother and father, his son David in 1979, his son-in-law Brian Hall in 2013, his wife Joyce in 2024, and his brothers Jake and Buddy (Leona) Job.
A Funeral Service to honor John’s life will be held on September 27, 2025 @ 1 PM at the Alliance Church in Sylvan Lake, 4404 47th Ave.

I was so saddened to hear of John's passing. I met him many years ago when Marena and I worked together at the TD. He and his dear wife were always so very pleasant and caring.
