It’s with a broken heart I have to announce the passing of my mom; Lois Darlene Falk, on Canada Day, at the age of 91.
My mom was very quick witted and always had a smile on her face when she saw you. She will be tremendously missed by her daughter Leanne and son-in-law Darcy Brzak.
Mom was pre-deceased by my dad, Larry Falk and my father, Leaward Ganske.
Lois also leaves behind her sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Julian Nerada as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
My mom had many cherished pets over the years and loved them fiercely whether they were adopted, from the SPCA or strays. She always showed up to take care of her grand-dogs and cats. My mom enjoyed camping, golfing, gardening, cooking, playing cards, and music.
We would like to thank all the caregivers that supported her these past years from the Eckville Manor House, Rimbey Hospital, and the Sylvan Lake Bethany you all made a big difference in her quality of life.
I chose not to lose my mom, and instead to gain an angel. In my mind, my heart, and my life, she is still completely present to this day — and as wise, compassionate and stubborn as ever. You will be missed.
Rocky and Sylvan Lake Funeral Homes and Crematorium, your Golden Rule Funeral Homes, entrusted with the arrangements.

Our deepest condolences to you and the family. I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Lois at Exckville Manor. She was friends and always checked in on my dad George Braun. Then became friends with my mom Carol Braun in Bethany. I so enjoyed visiting with her. She indeed always had a big beautiful smile on her face when ever she saw a familiar face and eager for a chit chat. Lois was such a beautiful warm hearted classy lady. I will miss our visits and chit chats.
