Obituary

Hoffart, Perry Stanley
May 25, 1957 – December 17, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of Perry Stanley Hoffart announce his unexpected passing on December 17th, 2022, at the age of 65. He was raised in Tramping Lake, Saskatchewan and spent a few years living in Nipawin, prior to moving to Red Deer and building his life here from the age of 17.

Perry had a love for Harleys and the open road. He took pride and joy in entertaining his family and friends at home, cooking his signature meals from scratch and turning the classic rock up loud on his stereo. He was an exceptional Dad, and enjoyed spending quality time with his two daughters, as well as his two granddaughters. Perry was a hard working, talented man, who family and friends would turn to for advice and inspiration on any home renovation or mechanical project. He had a great sense of humour, with a knack for storytelling and a love for sharing memories of his upbringing. We are all so grateful for those memories, but also profoundly wish he was still here with us to create more.

Perry loved his family immensely, and will be dearly missed by his daughters, Kimberley (Michael) and Jessica (Thomas), his granddaughters, Emersyn and Sadie, and his siblings, Glenda, Wayne (Bev), and Terry (Bonnie). He is also survived by his former spouse of 40 years, Jennifer Hoffart. Perry was predeceased by his youngest brother, Glenn Hoffart, and his mother, Evelyn Hoffart (Senger). Perry and his father, Edward Hoffart, passed away within hours of one another on December 17th.

Glen Strong:

My sincerest condolences to all of Perry’s family. I met Perry when we lived at Gleniffer Lake and we became friends and shared our love of Harleys. We enjoyed many motorcycle rides together and especially our trip to Sturgis. Quite often we argued like an old married couple but it was always in fun. One of the highlights of our trip to Sturgis was when we took a test ride in a three wheel enclosed body motorcycle called a Vanderhall. As we both had our own we were hotrodding around like a couple of teenagers. We both wanted one after that. I have a lot of fond memories of Perry, he was my friend and I miss him.

Dearest Hoffart daughters, mom and sister. I,m in deep shock and saddened.
We bought Perry’s home on McCullough crescent and was amazed at his thoroughness and labour of love. We continued to keep in touch with Perry throughout the 2 1/2 years we lived there and he even came to visit us in Alix. He was a tender loving man. We had many wonderful conversations together. May his death only be filled with memories and the love he had for his family. Sincerely and with deep respect Kathy and Bob Longman
