Terri Lynn Tisdale

Terri was born in the Red Deer Hospital on a very cold, snowy day, February 15, 1979, and passed away in Sylvan Lake on a cold, snowy day on January 16, 2024. She returned with her parents Les and Lynda Tisdale to her home south of Sylvan Lake. Terri attended school in Sylvan Lake making many friends along the way. She graduated from H.J. Cody School in 1996, then headed off to Red Deer College. She worked in Red Deer and Calgary before returning to Sylvan Lake to live and work until her passing.

She loved working at Wild Rapids, especially the people she worked with. Terri had started a fantastic career with OSL when her pain became too much. She spent two years of multiple tests and still had no answers for her pain. Terri was the one to see if you needed a new phone or someone to patiently help you with problems with the one you had. She loved her job and the people she worked with.

Terri spent many years in 4-H and was very good at public speaking as well as the many other projects 4-H had to offer. Terri loved to paint, and her pictures adorn many walls. She loved spending time with her special “Grams”, Frances Schappert, until her passing in 2022. Terri almost always had a pet or two during her short life and leaves behind her precious dog Dozie and kitty Lucy.

Terri is survived by dad and mom, Les and Lynda Tisdale; brothers Kelly (Carolynn), Colin (Melissa) and Shaun; nieces and nephews Tyson, Kylee, Alexis (Matt), Mackenna, Ethan, Travis, Alaina and a new little great nephew Jaxon; aunts and uncles John (Mary) Crosswhite, Myrna (Paul) Duval, Wayne (Carol) Ramsay and Lloyd (Agnes) Ramsay.

She was predeceased by her grandparents Reg and Hilma Tisdale, Vic and Frances (Ramsay) Schappert; brother Jamie; uncles Ed and John Tisdale; cousins Brett Tisdale and John Ramsay; and her husband Jason.

Terri’s family would like to thank all of Terri’s friends for their love and support. There are too many to list and you know who you are.

Donations if desired can be made in Terri’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Saving Grace Animal Society or a charity of your choice.

A celebration of Terri's life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion- Branch 212, Sylvan Lake.

Condolences may be offered to the family below.

We were shocked to hear of Terri’s passing. Harold was so pleased to get her help when he purchased his new phone. Terri became the teacher and he became the student. Terri brought him the traditional Tisdale plate of Christmas goodies and there was an exchange made for a bottle of wine in the corner of the Walmart parking lot. Sending you heartfelt sympathy. Hugs

Dear Tisdale family.
I would like to send my condolences to you and your family in this very difficult loss.
This is so difficult for me to write, it just doesn’t seem real yet. Terri was a dear friend of mine, and an amazing manager for OSL. When I first met Terri, she was a cellphone customer, shortly after that, she was my manager. We immediately got along and learned so much from Terri. Her and I ran the cellphone kiosk together as friends and co workers, to me we were a dream team that I will cherish forever.
I will never forget our long conversations on the phone, at work, the laughter we shared together and the memories to go behind it. When I found out the news of her passing, my heart just shattered into a million pieces as I thought so highly of Terri. I could call her and vent about my day, joke around and just be myself with her; I have never met anyone like Terri. She had such a big heart, very knowledgeable, dependable, would do anything for anyone if they needed it; I will never forget her. Terri was such an amazing person to have had the pleasure to get to know, and will forever miss her!
Thank you to the Tisdale family for raising such a beautiful soul that can now rest in peace pain free.

Sending all my love, big hugs to all.

Charlie and Lesley Lloyd:

Terri will be sincerely missed but always loved.
