Donald Albert Bystrom passed away Friday, August 29, 2025.
Donald was born on June 15, 1968, and would be the youngest of four children, to Lloyd and Kay Bystrom.
Donald lived his childhood in the community of Ridgewood and Centerville South of Sylvan Lake.
The farm life was where he thrived and loved to be but his parents still made him go to school. He lived on the family farm until it sold in 1995.
Donald worked various jobs until his passing and lived in various towns throughout Central Alberta, including Lacombe and Rimbey. Although he lived in town his heart always remained in the country.
Donald is survived by his siblings, Leonard Bystrom, Calvin and his wife Cheryl Bystrom and Doris and Ken Buckland
He is also survived by his favorite people, his nieces and nephews.
Jessie Reynolds, Logan (Sandii) Bystrom, Jack (Olivia) Bystrom, Brian (Katie) Bystrom, Kasie (Kirk) Brewster, Thomas (Jessica) Bystrom, and Shaelynne (Tyson) McDougall. He also leaves many great nieces and nephews Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
Donald is predeceased by his Mom and Dad, Lloyd and Kay, his grandparents Leonard and Ida Bystrom and Cecil and Marjorie Baldwin.

P.S.: :) before I get the 'gears' about 'Uncle' Don, he was my cousin, but 'Uncle Donny' was a private joke with us.

Uncle Don, I still to this day miss loving "the farm" when my Dad (Wayne) would bring me to visit or spend a WHOLE weekend :). I am sorry to all of us who will be missing him; the good things will always remain. ❦

When you lived with audra i was excited to find out that i was gonna be your neighbour. All if the memories we have maid over the years were the best.. when you were living in the apartment you were there when i needed someone when i was 16 26 now haha but i wish you were able to calibrate our birthdays together like the old times.. Miss you very very much Uncle Don

I have know Don for over 15 years, i have so many good memories with Don and I am completely heartbroken that he is gone. I don’t understand why, but one day I hope I will. He was one of my best friends and I wish I was around him more this past year. Im praying for his family and friends that are grieving of his passing. You will be loved and missed by so many Uncle Don (as I always called him).
