Cody Roy Black
July 3, 1995 – June 5, 2025
Loving Husband, Devoted Father, Son, Brother, and Loyal Friend
With broken hearts, we share the passing of Cody Roy Black, who left this world far too soon at the age of 29.
Cody was a husband, a father, a son, a brother, and a friend, but those words only scratch the surface of who he truly was. He lived boldly, loved fiercely, and stood unapologetically in his truth. His presence was unforgettable—loud, funny, and full of love.
He had a way of showing up for the people he loved. If you needed him, he didn’t ask why—he just came. That’s who Cody was: real, loyal, protective, and always ready to make someone laugh, even on the hard days.
Cody was a devoted husband and a proud father. His family was everything to him. He loved deeply, worked hard, and poured his whole heart into the people who meant the most to him. His kids were his pride and joy—his greatest accomplishment.
He is survived by his wife and children, who will carry his love with them always. He also leaves behind his parents, siblings, extended family, and countless friends whose lives were better just by knowing him.
Though his time here was short, Cody’s impact was lasting. His story will be told, his name will be spoken, and his love will be felt for generations. He will never ever be forgotten.
A Celebration of Cody’s Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 14th at the Eckville Hall in Eckville, Alberta. There will never be enough words to capture what he meant to us or how heavy life feels without him in it. His absence is loud, his memory constant, and his love everlasting. We’ll carry him with us in everything we do—from the quiet moments to the big ones—and we’ll keep loving him, always.
You were taken from us far too soon, Cody, and the hole you’ve left can never be filled. But your love, your loyalty, your laugh—they’re woven into who we are now. You’ll never be forgotten, and you’ll never stop being missed. We’ll carry you with us, always.
