Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Marlene Saunders on April 6, 2020 of Sylvan Lake Alberta, Formally from Kings County Nova Scotia.

Marlene was born in Berwick NS on August 15, 1953. She was born to the late Murry and Jean Parrish of Kings County.

Marlene was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. There was nothing more that she loved then her kids.

Marlene leaves behind her dysfunctional family that she absolutely adored. She is survived by her 5 children; Jeannie Lutz of Red Deer, Scott Saunders of Calgary, Collin and Christa Brown of Blackfalds Ab, Sean Saunders of Red Deer, and her partner Percy Bryant of Sylvan Lake.

She had 5 Grandchildren Ben and Brianne Lutz of Red Deer, Maddison and Rhyaleigh Brown of Blackfalds and Korbin Saunders of Red Deer. Marlene is also survived by her siblings, Donna Hyrtle of Berwick NS and Terry Parrish of Kanata Ontario. She had 3 Great Grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts.

Marlene will always be remembered for her infectious smile, her caring personality and her love for the ocean. Marlene was the one you could count on when in need.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Alberta. Her burial will take place in Kings County Nova Scotia, also at a later date.

Although she’s not physically here anymore, her love and light will live on forever
