Obituary

It is with great sadness we share that Darius Sampson Wilson suddenly passed away from leukemia on Monday, July 1, 2024, at the young age of 18.

He is survived by his loving mother, Lorna; father Ray; grandparents Cliff and Carol; aunt Linda (Jakub); uncle Lenard (Ange); his partner Anika; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and his many friends.

Darius loved the outdoors and his main interests included dirt biking, quadding, camping, fishing, target practice, swimming, skiing, skating, and playing hockey and bowling. But, his most favourite thing was to play video games. He played sport video games with Grandpa Clifford and most often won.

He enjoyed playing the electric guitar and saxophone. He was forever listening to music, especially country.

A Celebration of Life for Darius will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Sylvan Lake Funeral Home in Sylvan Lake, Alberta.

To Lorna and Family,
You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. We met Darius at Port Renfrew. Darius loved his time at Port Renfrew so much and I remember Judy telling us that Darius wanted to live at Port Renfrew when he grew up. We remember a wonderful young man, with a sunny smile.
