It is with profound sadness we the family announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather Jerry Brzak.
Jerry grew up on the family farm in the Evergreen area. Jerry spent 40 years with C.N. Rail working in many places in Alberta and B.C., first as a trackman on the sections and then later as a foreman on the work trains.
Jerry married Megan Shephard in 1957 and this union of 63 years produced a family of 4 children: Shelley, Bonnie, Dan (Rowena), and Mark; 6 Grand Children: Stacey, Alicia (Sean) O’Donnell, Christina Carlson, Brandon Burgess, Scott Burgess, and Jeremiah Brzak; 3 Great Grand Children: Abigail, Kristian Hunter, and Derek Burgess.
Jerry was predeceased by his Father Joseph Brzak, Mother Charolette (Dennis) Brzak, Sister Nellie (Jim) Grant, Brothers: Henry and Harry Brzak; Nephew Dean Brzak, Uncle Charles Brzak, Aunt Margaret Brzak, Cousin Charles Brzak Jr and Cousin Robert Brzak.

Condolences

David and Barb Ebl:

I worked with Jerry for a while on the section track in Eckville back in 1976 / 1977. His personality and sense of humor made the days work more fun than it normally would have been. We have always enjoyed meeting him at social events in the years since and have lots of good memories of him. Our sincere condolences to Megan and family.

Ben Larsen:

My deepest condolences to Megan and family. Uncle Jerry was a man I greatly admired, his incredible work ethic and dedication to providing for his family was most inspiring. “Benny boy!” was how Uncle Jerry greeted me, accompanied by a big smile and a firm handshake, he always knew how to make me laugh and I got some great advice from him along the way. I trust he was greeted in heaven by his siblings and can rest peacefully. My prayers and heart go out to all those who face this difficult loss.

Angela Tone:

We have been neighbors for almost 40 years. I remember going to Tigers Hockey games with you and Jerry. We will miss looking over and seeing Jerry out in the yard in his blue coveralls. We will all miss the visits over the fence. I know my Dad will really miss the daily visits. Condolences Megan and family
