Obituary

Jesse Clifford Roy Halvorson
Sept.22, 1986 - Mar.30, 2025

It is with profound sadness we announce Jesse’s passing on March 30, 2025 after a prolonged illness. Jesse was born in Red Deer on September 22, 1986 to Shelley(Halvorson) Duplessis. Jesse grew up in Edson for the first 10 years of his life. Then his family lived a short time in Westlock before returning with his mother and brothers in his early teens to Red Deer where he remained for the rest of his life. Jesse was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing and camping. Planning for his next camping trip was one of his favourite dreams during his long bouts of illness. It was in Red Deer that Jesse’s son Jace was born, who was the greatest light and pride of Jesse’s life. Sadly, the past 10 years of Jesse’s life was a plague of health issues which would lead to months and months in hospital. And though we will miss his big smiles and terrible dad jokes very much, we celebrate his release from his pain, struggles and send him off on the next stage of his journey.

Left to mourn Jesse’s passing are his son Jace; His mother Shelley and stepfather Sterling; His brothers Scott and Tyson and sister Catalina (Matt) and nephew Silas; Aunts Terilynn (Rod), Shirley, Jaime, Marie(Dave), and Noralee; Uncles Doug (Helen), Vernon(Joanne), Andrew(Lynda), and Neil(Anna); And a multitude of cousins who Jesse loved very much. Jesse was predeceased by his Dad Rob and brother Andrew; Grandparents Arthur and Grace Halvorson; and Clifford and Margaret Kidner. May they all find one another so in good time, we can all be together again.

A celebration of life will be held at the Pioneer Lodge at 4324 46 A Avenue Red Deer on Sunday April 06, 2025 at 1:00. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
