In Loving Memory of

Brandy Anne MacLeod (Gould)

1973 - 2019

It is with great sadness that her family announces the passing of Brandy Anne MacLeod (Gould) on June 12, 2019 at the age of 45 after a short battle with stomach cancer. Brandy will be always loved and forever missed.

Brandy is survived by her husband Jeromy MacLeod; daughters Madison, Brooke & Mercedes; parents Ron & Barb Gould; sisters Leigha (Chris) McNelly, Michelle (Lewis) Pryce, & Crystal (Duncan) Reid. Nieces & nephews: Bret & Bree Cummings, Cade & Rowan McNelly, Liam & Ellie Reid. Grandparents Bill & Shirley Gould; In-laws Barry & Verna MacLeod; sister-in-law Kari Cummings & brother-in-law Kevin MacLeod. Predeceased by grandma Helen Gould & grandparents Earl & Gwen Spicer.

Brandy was born in Winnipeg, MB. From that day forward she had her father & grandfather wrapped around her little finger. God given sisters & best friends Leigha & Michelle were later added to the family. She graduated from Warren Collegiate in 1991, then attended Sturgeon Creek Community College where her creativity led her to excel in Graphic Arts.

In 1992 the Gould family moved to Prince George where Brandy met Jeromy MacLeod, her soul mate & love of her life. She also met best friend & chosen sister, Crystal Reid. They have been joined at the hip ever since.

May 2005 Brandy & Jeromy introduced their beautiful baby girl, Madison. A few years later they embarked on a new adventure & moved to Alberta. Not long after they welcomed nieces Brooke & Mercedes into the family with open arms. Brandy loved all three of her girls with her whole heart & soul.

You may have known her as Bran, Red or Muffin but you will remember her for her strength & determination, her loving heart, and sense of humour. She was a devoted mother & loving, supportive wife. She loved sports, especially Fastball. She enjoyed spending time with animals, especially dogs Skippy, Sheba, Sadie & Ginger; and horses Gipsy, Cookie, Ace, Terms & Jack. When she decided to retire her glove she turned her passion to horses. She began riding & jumping with a group of ladies who became her second family.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on June 17, 2019 at Flying Cross Ranch north of Lacombe, AB. Please dress casual or western.

In lieu of flowers please donate to the "Riding Through Barriers Society", a non-profit society giving children the opportunity to take riding lessons.

Donna Robinson:

So very shocked and heart broken to read of this tragic news. You are all in my thoughts and when remembering Brandy, I will have many fond memories of playing ball together, her love of laughter and silliness and the special person and friend she was. She will be dearly missed. Leigha, Michelle and Crystal, I’m here if you need a shoulder, an ear or just a huge hug, so sorry for your loss.

Susan deveau:

Gary and I are very sorry to hear of Brandys passing away. We hope that the closeness of all the family and friends will help all of you at this time.

Leeann Warner:

What a beautiful tribute to an amazing lady.
We are so sad to hear of her passing.

Gail Glanfield:

Brandy was the type of friend that, regardless of how long it had been since you spoke, or texted, or Facebooked, she would just pick up right where you left off. She had an uncanny ability to know what was going on in your life, and would drop everything to help you if needed, or knew just what to say to make you laugh. I didn't even know she was sick! That is how little she worried about herself and would focus on others! I never had the pleasure of meeting Jeremy or her girls, but heard a lot about them and know they were her driving force and focus in life.

The world has lost an amazing woman, mother, wife, daughter, and friend. I will miss you!

Richard Hobson :

I have many fond memories of the Gould girls, aided and abetted by Crystal, at the ball field. Brandy's grit and sense of fair play were always appreciated. Jeromy, you and all the extended family are in our prayers.

After being Brandy’s hairstylist for 7+ years I am devastated that I won’t be seeing her in my chair again. I will never forget her big heart, hilarious sense of humour and that fabulously stubborn red hair. My condolences to her family and friends, I hope you can all find peace in the fact that she is no longer in pain and that she cherished you all so deeply.

Randy and Kris Winkler:

We cannot believe we are reading this.
Our hearts are heavy as we think of your loss.
Thinking about all of you. Our heartfelt condolences.

So many memories with Brandy and Crystal. This news saddens me so much! Brandy always had a great big smile and the brightest eyes! I’ve never witnessed a friendship as special as Brandy’s and Crystal’s. Thinking of the Gould and Reid family’s.

Allan Cook:

Beth Burrows:

I'm so deeply sorry to hear of this. Brandy and I spent many, many hours in Warren wandering, exploring, talking, laughing, freaking each other out, fighting with each other, with other kids, with our sisters...and defending every single one of them as well...she is and was a fiercely strong girl and woman, who had an unerring sense of justice and morals about right and wrong. She was always family focused, and loved them completely...I am not surprised this continued into adulthood. My deepest condolences to her family, and friends...she was and is a huge part of my childhood, and I am better for having known, and been influenced by her.

Colleen :

She was a sweetheart and will be deeply missed!

Janice & Gary Stirling:
