A private memorial will be held at a later date.
Morris Albert Moorehead, of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, passed away peacefully, on June 27, 2022, at the age of 81 years.
Morris was born May 12th,1941 at Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. He grew up helping his mother and grandmother in the logging camps in the Nordegg area. At age 18, he began working and training at Old's College in agricultural practices. For many years he was employed on farms across Saskatchewan and Alberta before settling in Fort Macleod area, to be closer to his mother. He retired to Eckville area in 2010, where he went fishing, maintained a small garden, and visited friends and loved ones regularly, always with a smile and a kind word.
Morris took after his mother who had a green thumb and was known for her ability to make anything grow. His pride and joy were nurturing his mother's Easter Cactus and Aloe Vera plants indoors, and his beloved strawberries outdoors.
Morris is survived by his nephews, Don, Lyle, and Jim, and their families. He was predeceased by his mother Louise Bibeau and his brothers Bruce Bibeau, and Lorne Moorehead.
Special thanks to all of his caregivers at Bethany Care, Sylvan Lake, for everything they did for Morris.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to STARS Air Ambulance.
Cremation entrusted to Rocky Mountain Crematorium, Rocky Mountain House, Alberta.

Morris was a kind and caring person. He loved to visit and share his thoughts on different things that interested him. He loved his dog Peanuts which often traveled with him.
Morris liked to do things for people. In summer he often cut grass for older folks that a difficult time doing it for themselves. In winter he would walk around our small community with a shovel looking to see who he could help. He never asked for any money for the favor. Just a smile and thank you seemed enough.
I have many good memories of Morris.
