Condolences

Stewart Stephanson:

I am one of the many extended family members of Don. ( on his mother Bonnie’s side )
In truth, I do not ever recall meeting Don, or his brother Mike.
I grew up a short distance south of the Olson farm ( on the sand road ) And have many memories of all the Olson family.
Reading the many posts, it’s obvious, Don was well known, loved by, and friends with many. A greater accomplishment in life , can not be easily achieved.
I will not be able to attend Dons service, but will certainly be thinking of his family and many friends that day.
Hugs to his family, Especially Peter, Bonnie and Wanda, whom I’ve managed to stay in touch with over many years.
Sincerely
Stewart

This is shocking. Every time I watch the Scotties on tv, I think of curling with Don on the day before the Scotties in Red Deer. We lost miserably to Glover, but Don always had a smile and laughed the whole time as I could not make one shot! Don was always a joy to curl against, and I will continue to think of him when the Scotties comes on every year.

Mark Crawford:

My sincere condolences to the Olson family. Don’s smile and kind nature will always stick with me. Don can rest easy with the wonderful job he and Theresa did raising their three boys to be good young gentlemen. He will be sadly missed, but he has left a wonderful legacy.
