Heather Lee Munro (Johnson)

Nov 5, 1963 - Jun 23, 2023

Obituary

Heather was born on November 5th, 1963, in Edmonton, Alberta. She was born to parents Keith and Mary Munro (nee MacArthur). They moved from Edmonton to Swan Hills, Alberta, where she went to school and formed many lasting and loving friendships. Heather would go on to move up north, working in Norman Wells for a time, before moving back to Alberta, where she married and welcomed two children into the world. She is survived by her mother Mary, her brother Jeff and his family, her ex-husband Neil, her two children Ken and Holly, her three beloved grandchildren Landon, Astrid and Everett, and many nieces, nephews and cousins who love and miss her dearly.

She is predeceased by her father Keith, her sister Colleen, and her brother Ken. The family knows that these individuals welcomed her with open arms.

Heather is remembered as a kind, funny, giving, and loving woman. Though she had personal complications, she was a wonderful friend, host, and partner-in-crime. She worked hard, and made every space more beautiful and welcoming by her efforts. She was often seen with an ear-to-ear smile on her face, and constantly thought of the wellness of others.

Heather deserves all the spoils of Heaven, and all the well-wishes and prayers from below.
May she forever rest in peace.

There will be an intimate family celebration of life held at a later date. Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in her honour.

Condolences may be offered to the family below. Sylvan Lake Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements. Rocky and Sylvan Lake Funeral Homes and Crematorium, your Golden Rule Funeral Home. 403-887-2151.

My most sincere condolences go out to Mary and Jeff and her Johnson Children and grand kidlins. My prayers for healing and peace in your hearts will be ongoing. When Ken passed Heather had so many unanswered questions she wished Ken would answer. I shared that pain with the whole family . Although I'm very sad she's passed I'm also very happy she now has answers. I'm Sure Ken, Colleen, KIeth Uncle Bud and Heather are spending time with Jesus together. That makes me very happy. I look forward to the day I go to my glory and see them all again.

From my family to your family, our sincerest condolences on the passing of Heather. I'll always remember her warm smile and kind heart. Heather was driving my LTD to school in Barrhead. At one point the vehicle started swerving from left to right. Al Nagel grabbed the steering wheel to stop the swerving. She looked at Al and said "I was just chasing the birdies". May you rest in peace Heather and "chase the birdies".

Corrine Reid:

Hez, my little tear drop - so many memories of shared laughter and tears over the years. You will be so missed sweetheart. I met little Kenny and little Holly in Okotoks many years ago and sincerely offer my condolences to each of you. Huge hugs to Mary and Jeff. Heather's sweet smile and hippy dippy ways will live in our hearts forever.
