Dec 7, 1952 - May 5, 2020
Richard W. Young, age 67, passed away peacefully in his home in Eckville, AB on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. He was born on December 7, 1952 to Delbert and Elizibeth Young in Prince George, British Columbia. He is survived by his son, Spencer; his daughter Emily; his brother, Scott; his sister, Valerie; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He spent his early life moving around a bit, even a little while in Abernethy, SK, before settling for a while in Nanaimo, BC. At 24, he Moved to Williams Lake, BC before moving out to Alberta at 26, where he would meet his wife and start a family. His compassion and intelligence left a lasting impression with many, and his quick wit and humor captured the hearts of the rest. He was loved and cherished by everyone he ever met. He was an amazing and proud father who would do anything for the people he cared about. He will always be remembered and loved.
Stace Molleken :
What a great loss to this world! My deepest condolences to his children, he talked so proudly of you often.
Hi Sence of humour was like no other, I could always count on him when I’d see him, to make me laugh and play a game of pool with me if one was close by.
Rest In Peace my friend. You will forever be in our hearts and never forgotten!
Angela ‘Smith’ Trask :
I will always hold a special place in my heart for my old friend. Rick was always a helping and good friend to me over many years. My heart is broken for Spencer’s and Emily, he SO loved his kids. What a huge loss for both of them. Watch for the signs, I’m sure he’ll still “be around”. Rip old friend.
Rick was a great guy to work with.
My sincere sympathy to the family.
