Ivan Philip Holland, of Sylvan Lake, passed away on May 20,2020 at the age of 91. He was the husband of the late Lillian (Axelsen) Holland for 57 years before she died in July of 2014. Ivan was also predeceased by his daughter, Donna and brother Bill Holland.
Ivan was born on October 11, 1928, the eldest of three boys to Philip and Minnie Holland. He lived most of his life in the Centreville Community where he loved farming, woodworking, and playing his guitar. Ivan and his girls sang at numerous church, community, and family functions. His love for God was evident through how he loved his family. He loved well, and was well loved.
He is survived by his brother, Allen (Doreen) Holland, his daughters, Susan (John Smith) of Washington, Jill (Ron Shenk) of Pennsylvania, and Terri (Chris Zimmerman) of Centreville; 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also lovingly remembered by numerous extended family members and friends. He will be missed, but not forgotten.
A private funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 27,2020.

Our sincere condolences to all of Ivan's family. He was such a great example of Christian love an kindness. God also gave him a great talent in his music. So many people have been blessed by his love to share Gods love in this way.
I also suspect he and Jesus might ideas about carpentry as they fellowship in heaven. He will be dearly missed but he set a great example while he was here. May God give you, the family, peace, comfort and assurance as he plays guitar in heaven.
I am a sister to Carol and met Ivan when visiting Carol and Bill. I own one of his carved horses. My sincere condolences to family members.
