Sara Elizabeth Daniels, age 55, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2024, surrounded by the
warmth of her loved ones.
Born on September 27, 1969, in Calgary, Alberta, Sara lived a life filled with love, compassion,
and an unwavering dedication to both her family and her profession. She earned her master’s
degree in nursing from the University of Alberta, paving the way for a fulfilling career, most
notably with Red Deer Polytechnic. Sara's passion for helping others and her nurturing spirit
touched countless lives.
On September 17, 1999, Sara married the love of her life, Randy Daniels. Together, they built a
beautiful life in Norglenwold, Alberta, where their home became a cherished gathering place for
friends and family. Sara's legacy lives on through her loving husband Randy; her father, Malcolm
Morrison; her five children, Felesha Shamber (Scott), Tania Campbell (Scott), Alicia Seeger,
Natasha Seeger, and Zachary Daniels; and her three adored grandchildren, Jacob, Abbey, and
Payton. She is also survived by many extended family members, including cousins, aunts, and
uncles. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Marlene Seeger.
Sara was known for her radiant smile, her unshakable kindness, and her boundless love for those
around her. Her adventurous spirit was fed by her love for the mountains, and she cherished
every moment spent exploring nature and sharing quality time with her family. Despite her busy
schedule, Sara always found time to lend a hand and offer a listening ear to those around her,
whether family, friends, or colleagues. Her home was always open, and her heart even more so.
For those who wish to honour Sara’s memory, a public celebration of her life will be held on October 16 from 4-8 p.m. at the Sylvan Lake Legion.
In place of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Red Deer Hospice
Society, a cause dear to Sara’s heart.
Sara will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate
enough to know her. Her life was a testament to the power of love, compassion, and selflessness,
and she leaves behind a legacy of warmth and joy.
Rest in peace, Sara
Sandra Davidson:
My sincere condolences for the loss of a truly amazing woman who made the world better everyday just for being in it. I was honored to have had the opportunity to work with her on the Faculty Navigator Program and through all our time together, I reflect on how she was generous, supportive, optimistic and determined in all she took on. I am sure I am not alone is saying that my life has been enriched by her kindness, and intelligence. I extend my love and support to Sara's family, friends and colleagues who are grappling with the loss of a beautiful soul.

Sharon Hamilton:
I was so sorry to hear about Sara's illness and recent passing. Sara was a a great person/colleague - her smile could light up a room on which I was lucky enough to witness on many occasions. I worked with Sara at RDP for over 10 years and fondly recall: her magnetic personality, her smile that lit up her whole face, her kindness and support for others, her ability to find humour in almost any situation, her leadership qualities, and her amazing intelligence - especially as it related to nursing education. Faculty/staff loved to be around Sara - she was just that kind of person. While devastating that she has left many behind, I feel thankful, for her sake, that it wasn't a long and painful journey. Sara, you were loved and will be missed by many. May your memory and spirit live on in the hearts of your children and grandchildren. To Sara's family, my heart goes out to you all. The world has lost a wonderful person.
