1966-2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Halvorson May 20, 2025 in Edson Alberta.
Shirley was born September 20, 1966 in Fort McMurray and was later adopted by Art and Grace Halvorson to join three boys who finally had a first sister. She is survived by her 4 children Chance Halvorson, Cassandra Halvorson (Kyle Armitage), Adrian Beck, and Alliah Beck (Logan Scheffelmaier), as well as 2 grand daughters Haley Halvorson and Ava Armitage. She is also survived by brothers Doug Halvorson (Helen Posti), Vern (Joanne) Halvorson, Andrew (Lynda) Halvorson, and the other man in her life Manolis Lignos, as well as sisters Shelley (Sterling) Duplessis, Teri-Lynn (Rod) Opseth, Jaime Halvorson, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Art and Grace Halvorson, granddaughter Natalia Halvorson, and nephews Billy and Dustin Posti, Andrew Kidner, and Jesse Halvorson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Eckville Friendship Centre on Sunday June 8 at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
