Gertrude Darlene Lee
Gertrude (Gertie) Lee passed away July 11, 2020 at the Rimbey Continuing Care Centre, Rimbey at the age of 93 years. Gertie was born at Hespero, Alberta on October 2, 1926 to Arla and George Lee. She was raised on the family farm in the Evarts district. Gertie attended school in the New Centreville School. She took grade 10 at Markerville, then 11 and 12 at the Red Deer Composite High School. Gertie spent all of her work years at the C.I.B.C starting at Sylvan Lake, then Ponoka, Lethbridge and Calgary. After her retirement she came home to help Mother who was not well. She later had a bad fall and had to go to a nursing home. Gertie is survived by one brother Charles on the family farm, and one sister Juanita (Ernest) Viitala of Eckville. Due to the pandemic, there will be a Service of Remembrance at the Eckville Cemetery on July 18 at 2:00 pm. All are welcome. No food will be served.

I am so sorry to see that Gertie passed away, you have my sympathy.
I was going to come to the Eckville Cemetery on the18t as that is the date we were married. We would have been married for 69 years.
Losing a sister is not easy.I still miss my sisters and sometimes you would like to talk to them.
