Obituary

Wayne Richard Woolley
October 17, 1952 ā€“ December 29, 2022
After a brave struggle with cancer, Wayne was taken by our lord, this morning at 12:02am.
Wayne is survived by his best friend and life partner, Diana McKenna, and her two daughters, Holly and Nicole. He also leaves behind his beloved daughter, Rachel. All from the Calgary area.
In Ontario, he leaves his brother Bill (Donna), twin brothers, Ken (Lynn) and Kevin (Tammy), and his sister Lynda. Wayne was predeceased by his parents, Pearl and William, and his brother Jack.
Wayne will be remembered for his amazing talents as a carpenter, and for always finding the way to get things done. His play time was spent with all things ā€˜8Nā€™. He loved his little tractors and enjoyed working on them and putting them to all kinds of work. He also had a great talent with a shovel! He had an eye for gardening and making things beautiful.
Wayne will be missed greatly!
A private family service will be in the spring.

Wayne and I were friends in our teen years/early 20ā€™s. We had many good times together.
I was a bridesmaid at his first wedding.
There are many stories I could tell.
Glad to hear his last years were happy.

Paula Barnes:

Life is an interesting journey that we all travel. I remember your love and passion for the homestead your parents had outside of Geogetown Ontario. I remember the day visiting and a foal was being born in the barn, amazing to watch. Your calm yet playful side was always present. Ride that horse and be free. Love Paula
