Obituary

Hemphill, Terri Rae
June 30, 1985 – August 3, 2024

We sadly announce the passing of Terri Rae Hemphill (Grahn). She left this world peacefully in her sleep on August 3, 2024. Terri was born on June 30, 1985 in Red Deer, Alberta to Darlene and Darcy Grahn. Her generous nature began at a very young age and stayed with her throughout her entire life. Terri grew into a loving mother, wife, daughter and sister. Her sole existence was centered around her love for her family, and not a day went by when she was not helping, caring, or running errands for the entire family. She would have spared no expense, and given the ‘crocs’ off of her feet to anyone in need.

Terri is survived by her loving husband, Chris Hemphill and her daughters, Kayleigh & Katie, who made up the entirety of her world. She is also survived by her parents, Darcy & Darlene Grahn, her best friend & sister, Tia (Stan), and their children, Owen, Jesse, Josh and Rylei (her little Beaner Boo), the Hemphill family from Edson; with so much love from her nieces and nephews, in addition to numerous relatives throughout Central Alberta, and the universe.

A Celebration of Terri’s Life will be held at the Blackfald’s Community Centre (Main Hall) 4810 Womacks Rd, Blackfalds, Alberta, on Saturday, August 17th, 2024 starting at 1:00 PM.
In Terri’s honour, we ask that you dress casually in bright colours and rocking your crocs, reflecting Terri’s flash for fashion (she got that from her Great Grandma Belle!).

In lieu of flowers, we kindly request donations to support the college fund for the twins. Your contribution will help ensure they have the opportunities and education their mother Terri valued so deeply. Donations can be made at https://www.gofundme.com/f/terri-hemphill and will be contributed to a RESP following the service.

I am so sorry for your loss. Terri had a heart of gold and was always willing to help and lead with many projects at our school, Brooks Junior High. I send Chris and his beautiful girls, along with Darlene, Darcy, Tia and family my sincere condolences.

Toni-Marie Ion-Brown:

I am so very sorry for the loss of your beloved
Keep her with you always in stories and with celebration.
May God guide you in the healing

Mrs. Lorna Landry:

I had the privilege of working with Terri at Bentley School. We were fellow EA's and worked very well together. I am so very saddened to hear of her passing. So so young. My thoughts and prayers are with you her loving family - Chris and her two beautiful girls. Girls, your Mom was carrying you when we worked together and she wanted nothing more than you two. When you arrived she was so so proud of you and so happy.

Take care of one another. I will never forget Terri.

Wendy Vandermeer:

My thoughts and prayers are with you all
