It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing our Loving Husband, Father and Wonderful Friend to so many, STEPHEN “STEVE” CHARLES BARR, after a short battle with cancer.
Steve is survived by his wife Cory, the love of his life for 38 years, his two children Stephanie and Spencer and Brother-in-law Shawn Bailey.
Steve was predeceased by his parents Audrey and Charles Barr, brother John and his parents-in-law Gail and Butch Bailey.
Anyone who knew Steve appreciated his solid, quiet presence and his love of Golf and the Montreal Canadians. He was enjoying wonderful retirement days at the Red Deer Golf and Country Club and their winters in Arizona.
Our hearts are broken losing you way too soon but our lives are so much richer for having shared a wonderful life with you, you will be forever loved and missed.

Cory (Mom), Spence, and Steph,
Steve was such an amazing and humble person to have in our lives. We have a lot of cherished memories with him and we are so grateful to have known him.
Steve and Cory are such huge supporters of mine and Spencer's music endeavours. I remember one evening after writing, practicing, and performing one of our original songs, Steve opened the door to the music room and gave us a very tender round of applause. It was such a feel good moment that I think of regulary.
I'll always remember Steve as a gentle, humble, and hilarious man (He had the BEST dad jokes). I will always think of him when I hear the guitar in Soul Meets Body.
Chelsey and I wish we could be with you all today. We are sending you so much love and are thinking of you always.
P.S: "'Oh I see' said the blind man, as he picked up his hammer, and saw."
