A passionate woodworker Ben found joy in creating with his hands. His workshop was a place of pride filled with the scent of sawdust and the hum of creativity.

Known for his quick wit, kind heart and laughter he will live on in our hearts forever.

Condolences

Doug & Vera Edwards :

Ben was a very good friend that will be sadly missed.
We will meet again .

Natalie Langan:

The Man, The Myth, The Legend.
His laugh was truly infectious and his witty banter was matched by his beautiful wife, Lorraine. They are the perfect definition of soulmates.
I was blessed to have meet and worked for Ben and Lorraine at Mustards Restaurant in Red Deer, AB from its Opening to it's closing in 2000. Ben wasn't your typical Boss, he treated his staff like family.
I reconnected with Ben and Lorraine at their home in the fall of 2022, and it felt like coming home. We had a lovely day filled with laughter, a bit of their delicious homemade wine and of course good food.
Many years had past since we had seen one another, but at the same time, it felt like none at all. That is what true friendship feels like.
Ben, You are already greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure to know you. I hope you know how much I appreciated your trust and confidence in me. Your support and understanding, even when I was a 'darn pain' didn't go unappreciated. Thank you for believing in a pink haired girl from BC that tested your patience from time to time.
Thank you for gifting me one of your beautiful handcrafted wooden bowls. It is a piece of you, that I will be able to cherish forever.
Enjoy this next adventure. XO

Mel Densham:

Ben was a colleague working the southern Alberta area selling phone book advertising.
He was a wonderful guy to be around and quite a salesman.
Boy could he tell stories about his life and background as a an entrepreneur. He gave me a lovely wooden bowl that he hand-carved, which I really appreciated, and will forever cherish. I remember his laugh and good nature.
RIP Ben
