Obituary

Slater, George William

George Slater passed away peacefully at the Red Deer hospital on January 10, 2021.

George was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on November 19, 1938 to Jenny and Bill Slater. He grew up in Calgary, Alberta where he enjoyed his passion for the CFL, Calgary Stampeders, fishing and golfing. George and his wife Carol raised their family in Hillhurst Sunnyside, Calgary until George’s retirement and they then moved to Sylvan Lake, Alberta where he could continue to do the things he loved.

George is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carol, daughter Ginger Andersen, son-in-law Harry Andersen and grandson Thomas Andersen.

George will be missed dearly by his family.
