Carol Baragar:
Joan was a volunteer and then a resident at the Seniors Lodge in Sylvan, where I worked with Resident Services. She was not just a resident but a talented, friendly, caring lady and a friend. I still have the many cards she handcrafted for me with much thoughtfullness. We both loved crafting and I am sure our sewing rooms are identical. I truly enjoyed the many chats we had, and her sense of humor. A wonderful lady who gave me some good memories.
Blessings
Carol

Inga Skusa:
Tante Jo, far away across the Big Pond, but always close, in my heart. I have met her quite a few times, and loved her wit, her dry humour and the way she cared for everyone around her. During my first trip to Canada, I got to spend a few weeks with her and Oom Tony on Vancouver Island. It was a great time and an eyeopener: I got to know my mom's big sister. We corresponded a lot, she was such a lovely and caring person, and that shone through in all her letters. In 2009 mom and I went to Canada for tte Jo's 80th and were surprised by the whole family with a quadruple birthday, my 40th, Lesley's 50th, Eva's (mom) 70th and Jo's 80th. The BEST birthday ever!
I will remember her with fondness and a smile, albeit a sad one. And I will miss her, but know in my heart that she is up in heaven with Oom Tony, her siblings and Dorothy. Her light on earth will now shine in the heavens.
I wish I could be there for you all, to give you a hug and reminisce together. Strength for you all in the coming days, you are in my thoughts.
Marcel Pouliot and family:
Our deepest condolences to all of you. May your happy memories be with you for all time. God bless

Lisa Sweet:
Sending condolences to Mary Ann, you were so very dedicated to your mom, I could see the love you both had, hugs to you at this difficult time.
Harvey Buit:
My most sincere condolences to the family of Joan. I did maintenance at Sylvan Lake Lodge during the time your mom was there and it was a pleasure to get to know her and enjoyed occasional visits. My Dad (John Buit) was there also for a time and got to know her as well. They had very similar backgrounds. I think it quite ironic that they pass away the same day. Maybe they will see each other in heaven - only God knows.
May God bless and care for you as you continue on without your mom.

You will bd missed.
You will be remembered.
