Fay Marshall Leitch

Jul 31, 1930 - Feb 21, 2022

Obituary

Fay Marshall Leitch passed away at the Red Deer Hospice on Feb 21, 2022.

Fay was born on July 31, 1930, in Coronation Alberta to Daisy and Harry Lakeland. She had one sister, Jackie (Jevne). She moved to Calgary with her family when she was quite young and married William Leitch at the age of 22. She had three children: Brenda, John, and Paul.

She is survived by her son John Leitch and daughter-in-law Debbie (Eckville) and grandson David Leitch, (Grande Prairie); Daughter-in-law Shan Esovoloff (Kelowna); Son-in-law Kurt Dockman (Rimbey) and grandson Christopher Dockman (Wetaskiwin).

Fay was a gentle, kind, and caring person who was beautiful both inside and out. She was easy to be around and was always positive and optimistic. You could talk to her about anything. She never gossiped or spoke negatively of anyone, and her nieces and nephews called her their favorite aunt. She loved animals, particularly dogs, and they loved her. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds and her hand-made stuffed teddy bears were a favorite gift of anyone who received one. She enjoyed vacationing with her family and always made sure there was a summer event planned that brought her children together each summer. Family barbeques that gathered relatives and friends from near and far were a highly anticipated event of each summer. She was a beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Donations in honor of Fay may be made to the Red Deer Hospice.

Cremation entrusted to Rocky Mountain Crematorium, Rocky Mountain House, Alberta.
Rocky and Sylvan Lake Funeral Homes, Your Golden Rule Funeral Homes, entrusted with the arrangements. 403-887-2151

Condolences

Anne Dunnett:

John, Debbie, David, Amy, Shann & Kurt & Christopher, My sincere condulations in the loss of your Mom, Mother- In- Law, and Grandmother. I had the opportunity to meet Faye twice. The first time when my Mom and I travelled from NB to Calgary and Debbie & John were dating we spent a wonderful evening dining out with Faye at Omi of Japan. The next time was at John & Debbie's wedding in Corcrane, both times she welcomed me into her home and treated me like I was part of her family! She had a smile that would light up a room! God received another Angel today! RIP Fay Leitch!!
