Obituary

Carritt,Brian
August 10,1957-April 25,2023

Brian was freed from his pain and proceeded to be with his heavenly father on April 25, 2023.
Brian was welcomed as the eighth out of eleven children to Arthur and Dorothy Carritt in Red Deer, Alberta, on August 10, 1957. As a teenager, he moved to Eckville with his family where he lived most of his adult life. Brian worked with the family business as a mechanic with his father, Arthur, and brothers, Roy, Laurie, and Brad then furthered his education as an electrician. Brian was a talented musician who enjoyed playing many instruments, including his guitar, and singing; early in adulthood, he was a member of a band that he described as a fun memory. Brian was also a gifted athlete who enjoyed playing a variety of sports including fastball, hockey, and golf. His free-spirited nature led him to challenges in his life, however, he is remembered as a kind-hearted, generous, humorous, and loving man by his family and friends. Brian lived his life fully and his loved ones feel blessed that as he slowed down in his last few years, they were allowed to enjoy a meaningful relationship with him. His huge smile was infectious, and he will be greatly missed.
Those he leaves behind include his loving sons Chad (Christy), Vince (Barb), and Greg (Kyla), as well as, his grandchildren Jade (Kaleb), Davin, Kendrick, Jeffery, Joel, Kristen, Kaedan, Rylan, Jordan, and Greyson. His remaining siblings who loved him dearly are Lynda, Douglas (Nancy), Lawrence, Christine, Dee, Glen (Debbie), and many nieces and nephews. Brian is being embraced in heaven by his mother and father, Dorothy and Arthur, siblings, Leroy, Melvin, Leslie, and Bradley, as well as brother-in-laws Larry and Donald. The full list of relatives and friends who have been lost is sadly too long to mention, but we know that Brian is having a great reunion up above.
The family would like to thank the staff at Michener Extended Care for providing Brian with a friendly and caring home environment.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, April 30, 2023, at the Eckville Legion, 5027 51 Ave, Eckville Ab., with a light supper and refreshments to follow.
