Carol Susan Briggs (nee Helm)
December 22, 1949 – May 24, 2020
Our cherished wife and mother is now rejoicing with Jesus, after a courageous battle with life. Carol, always with a smile on her face, could be found gardening, enjoying her bird friends, riding her horse, playing with her farm animals, and enjoying her rural life. Mom was blessed with a content spirit. Most of all she loved her children, and made her life around them, fiercely protecting the family unit, her family was her whole world. Carol had a great sense of humor and was an extremely hard worker, with a strong stubborn streak, but always a hero to her family.
In her healthier times Carol and Aubrey enjoyed dabbling in real estate, building houses and establishing their farm from ground up, to the well-established farm it is now, near Spruce View.
Carol’s life was plagued with many health challenges, but she bravely faced them with her strong Christian faith and always a smile.
Carol was predeceased by her son Troy Briggs in January 1996. Carol leaves to mourn her loving husband Aubrey of 50 years, and her daughters Tara (Blew) Noyes, and grandson Porter Noyes, Nicole Brown (Chris Schneider) and grandchildren Lachlan and Hillayna Brown.
She will lovingly be remembered by her sisters Jessie Lee Bachleitner, Vada (Rudy) Franczak, and brothers, Boyd (Peggy) Helm, Steven (Sandra) Helm and numerous nieces and nephews and a few chosen close friends.
Bob and Ardith London:
Dear Aubrey, Tara, Nicole and grandchildren,
So sorry to hear of the passing of your wife, Mom and grandmother. Thank you Aubrey for letting us know here in NB. I met Carol at one of our MMHS school reunions when she and Aubrey were in NB. I enjoyed our little chat and her friendly smile. I often thought of her dealing with her various health struggles. May she rest in peace. Praying that God will comfort you during this difficult time and in the days ahead. Sending love and hugs to you all.

Sincere condolences to the family. May the Lord be your strength and peace.
My sincere condolences to Aubrey, Tara and Nicole, with the passing of your beloved wife and mother. Carol was a very kind woman, always putting everyone else’s needs before her own. She truly enjoyed dedicating her life to her family and was always very welcoming to friends. I fondly remember times spent at the farm, as well as our long phone chats. We had a friendship, that spanned almost sixty years! Always a smile and quick to laugh, even if the joke was on her. I admired Carol’s tenacity and bravery through the tough times she had been dealt in life. Rest In Peace my dear friend; you will be missed.

We loving remember Carol on all our family visits and get togethers. Also remember and so enjoyed our many motorcycle rides together. One special but scary motorcycle ride was from Lethbridge ......the wind was so strong it blew our faces, helmet and all sideways the whole ride. It was very scary but I can still see, in my minds eye, Carol's big smile when we made it!
Carol fought a long, hard, and brave battle with her many health issues. It's time to rest now Carol .....you did a great job!
Much love and sincere condolences to Brother Aubrey, Nieces Tara, Nikki and grandchildren and to all of Carol's family.
