It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Marilyn Bergstrom on January 7th, 2021, at the age of 60.
Marilyn will always be remembered as the beautiful, kind, outgoing and generous woman she was. Marilyn and Jack were very much in love and constantly expressed their love for one another.
Marilyn was born February 19th , 1960 in Edmonton, Alberta, to parents Stanley and Edna Kosik. She had a strong relationship with her family growing up in White Fox, Saskatchewan. She met her husband while living in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan in her early teen years. Marilyn had two children with Jack, Jessie and Shane. Marilyn was the best mother to her boys. Jesse and Shane were born in Fort St. John, B.C. and lived there until the boys were 6 and 7 years old. They moved the family to Choiceland, Saskatchewan, for five years where Marilyn and Jack owned a successful car wash business. When the boys were 11 and 12, they moved to Spruce Grove, Alberta, where Marilyn started a vending machine company and Jack began his own oilfield business. She was also a model and even appeared in a few commercials, and also in ‘The Mentors’, in the early 2000’s. Marilyn and Jack moved to Sylvan Lake after the boys turned 19 and 20 and on their own. They could often be seen by the lake talking and walking hand in hand. They were in love until her last breath. She always had a clean home and had delicious meals prepared for her family and friends. Marilyn loved to plant flowers and keep the farm in pristine condition. She also put up Christmas light displays that were often remarked on.
She has joined in eternity, her son Shane, sister Diane, mother Edna, father Stanley, brother-in-law Brett Bergstrom, and sister-in-law Jennifer Bergstrom.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Jack, son Jessie, sisters Loretta, Jeanette, Donna and grandson, Daekin.
She had an incredibly positive outlook on her cancer and kept up her spirits and those who loved her dearly. Unfortunately, she lost that battle too soon.
