Kevin Barry:
I grew up 4 houses down from Larry and the Aubie gang when they lived on the corner of Station and Prince William (Newcastle Blvd.) Streets. Larry was one the first people I can remember as a friend. Was a great guy for sure and masterful musician. Of course Larry being the youngest boy and small as a kid I remember them clothes pinning him on the clothes line for entertainment. Not sure if it was for Larry's entertainment or the rest of the Aubie gang. Always made a point to try to say hi to him at Siddall's Jewelery when I made it home to the Miramichi. Always had a smile on his face.
To his family I like to use my grandmother's Charlotte "Lottie" Barry's words when giving condolences that never are enough but are in hopes of giving some relief.
"No one ever dies until you stop using their name." So use Larry's name whenever you can at your family gatherings, special occasions, and in your families stories to keep all your great memories of Larry alive.
Rest in piece my friend.
Chris Allison:

Brent Cormier:
My sincere condolences to Diana, Tara & Evan, and to the Aube and Pafford families. Having worked with Shortcut back in the day, i'm here reflecting on some wonderful times. There were a lot of late nights, a lot of laughs, a lot of great music, a lot of greasy roadside diner food in the wee hours of the morning, and lots of great memories in general. Larry was always friendly, easy-going, had a great sense of humor and always ready to lend a hand setting up the lights. I admired his passion for music and his guitar playing was second to none. It was always such a pleasure to watch and listen to him perform, and perhaps my favorite memory is whenever he would sing White Hot, which showed off his incredible vocal ability as well. There was no such thing as social media back then, but to this day, I wish I had a recording of it. Larry, you were one of a kind, well liked and well respected by other musicians and people in general. So sad you were taken way too soon. Rock on, old friend.
Laurie and Eddie Taylor.:
Donna, our deepest sympathy to you and your mothers and all the family, so sorry for your loss, love and-prayers. Sincerely.
George Smith:
Dear Deanna and family, like everyone else I was shocked to hear of Larry's passing. Somehow it hardly seems real or possible that he has left us at such a young age. He was a supremely talented musician and a kind loving individual, father and husband. He was a gentle soul and was always ready to pick up a guitar and put a smile on someone's face. I wish all of you the peace of God and may your memories of this remarkable man be with you all as you go forward in the journey of life.

Diana and family- we hope that good memories will sustain you over the next while. Words always seem so inadequate at a time limit me this but some words are better than others. John Steinbeck wrote something that he paraphrased from Shakespeare- “ it is so much darker when a light goes out then if it had never shone”. Larry seemed like a very bright light indeed. Take care.
