We knew Sven (and Esther and kids) from the skiing/racing days (30 years old?!) and the many chuckles and conversations that made time fly in the chalets. Big hugs to all of you.

Jim and Karen Gough / Margaret Cooper:
Sven's passing brings us much sadness. We will miss his dry humour, jokes and twinkle-in-the eye smiling face, as he sauntered into a room. Without any hesitation, Sven was always willing to help his family and many friends any way he could. Whenever they needed his help, they just had to ask. He was a hard worker for his family and his stories of his travels and life in Sylvan Lake always captured our full attention. We consider Sven and Esther to be friends and family as we all gather to celebrate family birthdays and holidays. Our prayers and condolences go out to Esther, Brenner, Candace, Amy, Isabella and Hunter, who suffered so much along with Sven at the end of his illness. Like everyone who knew him, we will definitely miss the Great Dane.
Ray & Janice Johnston:
