Popilchak, Priscilla Ellen
September 19, 1941 - January 16, 2020
Service:Friday, January 24, 2020
1:30 pm
A Service of Remembrance will be held for Priscilla on Friday January 24, 2020 at 1:30 pm at the Sylvan Lake Memorial Presbyterian Church, 5020 48th Street, Sylvan Lake, Alberta.

Priscilla passed away on January 16, 2020 at 79 years of age with family by her side.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Monica (Daryl), Carmen (Tom) and Mitchell; her grandchildren Matt (Kate), Nathan (Thressa), Jarrett, Zachary, Daria and Theo and siblings in-law; Ivy Mewha, Shirley (Dale) Mannix, Roberta Tiffin, Paula Albers, and Robert (Kim) Popilchak and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Theodore Popilchak (Oct 12, 1990), her sister Kaye and brother Don as well as sister-in-laws Carol and Barb.

Priscilla was a devoted traveler who loved to see the world with her family and friends. She lived overseas for 12 years. She was an avid golfer who enjoyed time with friends and grandchildren on the course and the annual Oilmen’s tournament. This tournament was extremely important to her as she continued that tradition which was started by Theo. Her grandchildren meant the world to her as she took them on trips, spent lots of time with them at the cabin and made an effort to watch their activities and be involved in their lives. The cabin was a special place for Priscilla and family to be together and celebrate holidays, enjoy the seasons and a place to just be together. She will be deeply missed by friends and family, and all that knew her.

A Service of Remembrance will be held for Priscilla on Friday January 24, 2020 at 1:30 pm at the Sylvan Lake Memorial Presbyterian Church, 5020 48th Street, Sylvan Lake, Alberta.

Murray Olson:
To Carman, Monica and Mitch, just heard of your mom’s passing from Arizona. I have so many fond memories of both your mom and dad and enjoyed our many years of helping Priscilla with the Sylvan Lake Oilman’s Tournament and seeing all of you at those events. Pricilla was very proud of her family and rightfully so. May she Rest In Peace and may you carry on the tradition of a very fine family line.
Tom & Elaine Barker:
We knew Priscilla & Theo long before any of us were married. Priscilla & I graduated from high school together. Many fun times and memories.
Thinking of you all.
Dr. Kent Jenkins, DC:
Priscilla was always a pleasure to see at our clinic. She always had a great laugh and would always brighten up the place. She is truly missed.
Our thoughts and best wishes go to the all the family.
Lee Hunt:
My condolences in the loss of your Mom. I knew Priscilla when she was a Substitute Teacher in Calgary. Whenever Priscilla subbed for me, I could always count on my students getting their work done and behaving well, as Priscilla was firm with them - but gently so. She had a great smile and a lively sense of humour.
May you have memories of many joyful times which you shared with your Mom to help give you support at this difficult time.
Dwight and Cherryll Smith-Gander:
We are so very sorry for your loss. Priscilla was a dear friend and very loved. Please accept our condolences at this time.
Janet Veenstra:
Priscilla has been missed at our Pintopplers bowling league. We remember her vibrancy, humour and competitiveness - something we looked forward to each bowling day. We will continue to remember her with much fondness. Thinking of you and hoping you find comfort
in your special memories.
Ivan and Elizabeth Freeborn:
We had the pleasure of knowing Priscilla in two contexts. We were all active in the life of Varsity Acres Presbyterian Church in Calgary. Priscilla and Elizabeth served together on the Board of Managers for several years. Ivan also had contact through Silver Springs Golf and Country Club where both of them enjoyed the athletic and social activities. Our sincere sympathy is extended to Priscilla's family.
Sandi and Ian Churchill:
We have fond memories of Priscilla, an active, vibrant person with a quick smile and a word to everyone.
May the memories you have and share remain with you and sustain you in the days and months ahead.
Our love to the whole family.
Gordon Cumming:
Sorry to hear of Priscilla's passing. She made a difference to the Calgary Schools I was part of, first as a substitute teacher, and then as a volunteer. The word substitute really is inadequate for the role she played. Her absolute commitment to the school, staff and students made her the go to person for any absence. Absolutely loyal as a colleague and friend, she was the best.
Judy Webb:
My condolences to Priscilla's Family. I knew Priscilla through many years of bowling at Mountainview Bowl as well as golfing. She was passionate about her sports activities. Priscilla and I always had a bit of a competition going on Wednesday mornings at bowling. We all will miss her and her broaches that she would wear symbolizing whatever event was happening that week, our lunches after bowling and her stories.
The memories Priscilla left will be with us always.
Lisbeth Duncan:
