Obituary

Sisson, Stefani Rene
Our beautiful Dragon Rider Stefani passed away peacefully in the arms of her beloved Mummy on January 15, 2020 at 54 years of age after a lengthy battle with cancer.
She will be lovingly remembered by her mother Dalyse, her step-mother Barbara; her sisters Roxzane, Keila-Marie (Rod), Rhonda (Perry), Roxsel (John); her brother Marty (Jamie); her nieces and nephews Dawson, Olivia, Jody, Josh, Aalysa, and Cooper; a foster brother Brook (Erin) and his childen Feara and Pheonix; as well as her ex-husband Fred; her step-children Amanda, Christopher and Lucas, and their families.
She was predeceased by her father Elmer and her grandparents Muriel, Tom, Chet, Elva, Fraser & Alys as well as many Aunts and Uncles.
Stefani started out her life in a baby walker and loved wheels for the rest of her days, from her tricycle to her bicycle, to her little Toyota, to her Jeep and finally to her treasured Harley. She was born and raised a true blue 100% Alberta, Canadian girl and dang proud of it (her words!). She was a proud rancher with a great love for all animals, especially her beloved dogs Boots, Puss and Charlie. She was a staunch fighter for the environment who loved the countryside from the prairies to the mountains, to the lakes and the rivers and everything in between. She could most often be found with a camera in hand taking pictures of nature’s beauty (or her bike or her dogs). Her love of everything Christmas was second only to her flair for decorating her home. She will be deeply missed by friends and family, and all who knew her.
A Service of Remembrance will be held for Stefani on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the Alliance Church, 4404 47 Ave, Sylvan Lake, Alberta. A Luncheon will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, 4916 50 Ave, Sylvan Lake, Alberta. Cremation entrusted to the Rocky Mountain Crematorium, Rocky Mountain House, Alberta.
Rocky and Sylvan Lake Funeral Homes and Crematorium, your Golden Rule Funeral Homes, entrusted with the arrangements. 403-845-2626

Dayle Kichula. :
My beautiful Stefani. I will always cherish our many conversations solving the worlds problems one politician at a time. Our conversations about love, family and about soul connection. Was an honour to be considered one of your soul tribe. Til we meet again my friend. Love you to the moon and back. Xoxo

My heartfelt condolences to her family. She is now healed and at rest with so many other family members. Some will not know who I am, but her grandmother, Muriel, was my aunt.

We have lost so many of our loved ones to cancer and the loss of our beautiful daughter Stefani is so hard to comprehend…there is a void in my family and my heart. This is a devastating loss. My heart goes out to Dee, her family, our children and our grandchildren.

God Bless, rest in peace sweetheart.

Love Momma B

There never will be words enough to express the sadness in you having to leave your family and the rest of us so early in this life. I know you had big plans to bring awareness to a number of issues that meant a lot to you, that you felt the world around you needed to know. I felt that you would be here forever pursuing those things. I first learned of your passionate nature attending Red Deer College with you, knew that you were a "go-gitter-girl" that radiated with your beauty, your intelligence, your spirit, and your humour. I never did get to ride along side you on your beloved Harley but I'm sure that every trip is fondly remembered…I will be riding again soon and I will forever carry my feelings for you with me as I go about the roads and trails of my time here. You were a bright and shining sun in my, and many others, lives…….thank you so, so much for being here.

With love,

Duggo

I had the pleasure to get to know Stefani when I was an owner at YogaNation. She would come to the studio, looking like a bad ass yogi with her motorcycle gear on and her yoga mat:) She never missed an afternoon class. She was very special to all of us at the studio and she will be very missed. She was so upbeat and always smiling. I will never forget her.
Sending love and healing to her family whom she loved very much and was very proud of.
Sincerely,
Dawn

I'm so sorry I cannot be there in person to say my farewell Stef, but I'll be there in spirit. I will miss you and all the times we could have shared as sisters together hanging on the farm around the fire! You fought a long hard battle, but now you can rest, and visit with all those who are waiting with open and loving arms in heaven for you!!
Lots of love, your sis,
Roxsel xox

I am so sorry that Stefani’s life on earth has ended. She was fighting for her life for so long and I admired her strength. There are many relatives that she’ll be with now. Be at peace, Stefani. Your pain is now gone. My thoughts are with those left behind who will miss her so much.
Maria Robinson:
Sending so much love and positivity to all of Stefani's family and friends. I never had the pleasure of meeting Stefani in person but I feel I knew a lot about her through her photos and the moments we shared chatting about our similar interests. It is obvious that she touched so many with love and a deep, committed spirit to everything she held dear and believed in.
May she ride high and free.
Rhonda Arntzen:
It is with a heavy heart that I am saying good bye to my big sister. Though we are not sisters by blood we are sisters by love. I truly do love and miss you. Thank-you for being a big sister to me and letting me hang out with you. I have enjoyed our crazy fun times together, these are memories that I will always cherish. .I love you so much and my heart is broken. “ YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE”

You’ll never know dear how much I love you!
