Tim Reimann :
Bernie: You were the father of my best friend in my childhood. You were my friend in my adult life. Your advice was sound and your patience matched your stature. You were mainly unchanged in an ever changing world, and a blessing to your community. You will be sadly missed. Rest In Peace
June Samphire:
Bernie, you and I have been friends for 67 years and as our lives progressed we still kept in touch. You were such a tease..but a real softie down deep. I enjoyed Sharon's and your hospitality a few years ago when you made me feel so very welcome in your home. I will miss our phone calls, our quirky sense of humour, and my heart hurts as I remember you so fondly. You told me you were looking forward to seeing your Mom, Dad, Linda, Monty, Shon and that you would say "Hi" to my Dave...you are now nestled in their loving arms and we will meet down the line and continue with our phone calls. RIP dear friend. Sharon, he will always be with you and the family...I send you my love and big hugs...and didn't he give just the very biggest and best hugs??
wanda frillman:

Life won’t be the same without him.
I looked up to him. He helped me out when I
had no one. He gave me a lot of good advice.
He helped his family all his life. His mom and dad
Brother his sister his daughters and his son.
His grandkids and their kids. He worked his whole life helping all of us out. To me that is a hero! RIP UNCLE BERNIE.

in the days before Bernie went circle track racing he was an ardent drag race guy.i was a few years younger and he was a mentor for me and we spent many an evening and weekend in the garage at Lynnwood drive.he was the lead person in building the 38 chev coupe with a six cylinder engine ,homemade tri carb and headers and we won many races in Calgary, edmonton, claresholm, windermere b.c., Saskatoon and others and beat some pretty stout drag racers at the time (roger bateman (Calgary) don benson (st albert) I think this is the car they modified to go circle racing or used the engine from...missed that portion of his racing and am sure he will be missed by many as he was a very likeable guy...R.I.P...
